These are gorgeous. I'm hoping for greens and reds too! Love 'em!

It's funny you should say that; I was thinking that I should put up a poll or a journal asking people what colors and textures they want to see more of. Right now I'm making some kind of red/blue ones. By green do you mean like a dark foresty green? I have some light greenish/blue ones but I guess they're more blue than green.

I was thinking an array of green, going from a pale grass green to a deeper forest green, and the reds from a light rose color to a deeper crimson. All of your sets are beautiful and I plan to use them to create Book of Shadows art pages. Different colors represent different things such as seasons and holidays (reds and greens for Yule/Christmas, oranges and blacks for Samhain/halloween). I figure your papers will be as much a representation of the symbolism of the art pages as will the artwork I put on them. All I can do is say thank you and give you credit for all your beautiful hard work.

Okay, I'll try to make some textures in those colors sometime soon. Also, does it matter what kind of texture is on the paper? For example, I was planning to do some dark green textures with grass imprinted in them (kind of like in this pack [link]). Would that work for you or does it need to a vague cloudy texture like in this pack (paper pack 4)?

I love them both! Don't make me decide lol. I think I'll be using the plant imnprints for herbal pages describing the properties and uses of various plants and the cloudy parchment looking ones for general information. No matter what you come up with, I will more than likely be using them.

Hey, I just wanted to let you know that I just submitted a pack that has some dark pink paper textures that are kind of reddish. [link] If they're not red enough for your purposes, don't worry. I try to make some than are more red and less pink.

Okay then, I'll just try to come up with a variety of textures so you have more to choose from. Stay tuned! ;)

These are great! Good idea using fabric dye.
As soon as classes end I'm going to try painting watercolor style images in PS using these as backgrounds. They are not too drastic with the watercolor effect for backgrounds.
I'll link you when I get something worth uploading.

Thanks

Hey, sounds cool! I've also been fiddling around with doing digital watercolor type imagery, which is why I started making these textures in the first place. (Here's an example [link] .) You should check out `hibbary's textures too if you haven't already [link]

Good test. It looks like a nice watercolor painting so far. I like the way watercolor looks light and casual and not so heavy overworked like usual digital painting. It lends itself to storybook illustration quite well.
I liked what you have in your traditional media gallery, too. Good life drawing skills.

Thanks! The watercolor effect was actually stupidly simple to achieve using texture layers and a standard watercolor photoshop brush. I'm not sure how to get it to look like it pools and such; you probably need a different brush for those areas. Oh and something you might find helpful are these walk-throughs by ~bluefooted: [link] and [link] Her style isn't strictly watercolor but it's very similar.
