My progress from 1999 to 2013 (15 years): The best thing I had going for me when I was learning to draw is that I didn&#8217;t know how bad of an artist I was. I didn&#8217;t have access to all of the amazing art that we have here on Deviantart, so I couldn&#8217;t compare myself against all of these awesome people. I could only compare my work against itself and see that it was getting better all the time. All you need is time and focused practice.
